A retired Associate Professor Emerita (University of New Mexico, University Libraries), María Teresa was curator of the Center for Southwest Research. Named UNM Regents Lecturer, she co-edited Women's Tales of New Mexico with Professor Diana Rebolledo.
María Teresa is currently involved with the Southwest Opera Guild and the Albuquerque Opera Guild, The Jewish Community Center Book Club, and Los Paisanos Toastmasters (meetings conducted in Spanish). She is also taking lessons in French, and attends classical music concerts Sunday mornings at Chatter (formerly known as The Church of Beethoven).
